I’m trying to make my blog be more a blog than a gateway to micro.blog.
Seeing people go to mastodon instead of Micro.blog makes me feel sad. I don’t know why, I have no money invested in it. Maybe it was the emotional commitment. I’ve already seen 3 “Behind the Mac” billboards on i95 in Philly.
My family is going on a short trip this weekend and I want to do some coding in Xcode to learn Obj-C, here are my options:
Xcode 4 on a 2007 MacBook running Mac OS X Lion
Xcode 3 on a 2007 MacBook running Mac OS X Snow Leopard
VNC into my desktop at home on a 2007 MacBook.
@manton I’ve been having an issue where sometimes my own posts don’t appear in my timeline.
I think it’s humorous that there is anger over the deactivation of Twitter’s streaming API, but Micro.blog can’t say “Hey come over here!” because it doesn’t even have a streaming API.
To install Tweetie 2.0 I had to downgrade my iPad 2 to iOS 6, install an old version of iTunes, use Charles Proxy to intercept iTunes’ http requests and switch the version. Fun Fact: the official twitter app still has the bundle id “com.atebits.Tweetie2”.
